Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and well-known comedians. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011after having appeared as a guest on a variety of Irish television shows and British shows since the year 2009. In 2012, she began to appear regularly on sketch and sitcoms. In 2012, she began appearing in panel shows following her win of an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Between 2016 and 2017, she was a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats' team, as well as a participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan, the actress is the mother of one sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was awarded the So You think You're Funny Award twice. Her surname is Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. She was born in March 16, 1984. Her father Brian was an equine veterinarian who took his own life at the age of three. Bea was just three years old. She wasn't told about how he died until she reached the age of 13. In 2017, she composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and adopted her stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised in a home by Helen Moloney, a educator and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. The family was awed by horses, race meetings and the racing industry. When she was a child, Bea was an assistant tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing for a profession, but instead was a performer.
