Michael Keaton, an American actor and producer best known for his role in Birdman. As a versatile actor, he is able to perform comedy and dramatic parts. In addition to playing romantic roles, he also played in action films as well as thrillers. His interest in the performing arts began when he was in his teen years. He began to try stand-up comedy when he was in his early 20s. Even though his stand-up act was not successful it helped in the development of his acting. As he was not able to become an actor, he chose to become a television cameraman. Through the work he started to realise that he desired to appear on camera. After landing a role in a television show, he appeared on numerous shows on Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor who soon gained a lot of attention on the television. After establishing a successful movie career, his humorous appearances brought him plenty of attention. His fame was further elevated after he was praised for his performance as Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. As an actor, he grew in the years to come and then ventured into direction and production realms. The role he played in the 2014 film Birdman earned him several nominations and awards.
