Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz early. Her roles included lead characters in television dramas as early at the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. Some of these include the British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. Other roles she has held include being juror at both The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
