Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in TV dramas as young at the age of 16. Her fame was due to her role on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra has been associated with numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States and internationally. Some of these comprise British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
